Burwood is owned and operated by Ian & Julie Pfeiffer and family (daughters Casey & Nikki and son Shane).
The property is located 8kms north of Bordertown in the South East of South Australia. The farm is 720 hectares which includes 35 hectares of irrigated lucerne seed.
Burwood Suffolk Stud was founded in 1923. It is the oldest Suffolk Stud in Australia (Flock 28 in the Suffolk Flock Book). The Stud has sold genetics to overseas countries including the Emperor’s Flock in Japan. Currently runs 70 ewes.
Burwood White Suffolk Flock (Flock 34 in the White Suffolk Flock Book) was founded in 1987 and currently runs 350 ewes.
Tapton White Suffolk Stud is owned by Casey Work & Nikki Ward (Ian & Julie’s two daughters’), running 50 ewes.
