This stud has been set up in conjunction with AJ&JD Donnan "ANDEN"  and DJ & MJ Pipkorn "DETPA GROVE", to facilitate the use of Juvenile In-Vitro Embryo Transfer (JIVET) technology.

JIVET is performed on lambs between 4 & 10 weeks of age and is essentially a multi-ovulation, harvest, fertilize and implant program. In terms of generation turnover we are achieving nearly two per annum.

This has meant that by using this method of breeding we have been able to fast track the improvement of our elite genetic material . The descendants of this program are anticipated to filter down through the participating studs to significantly advance our entire flocks in commercially driven traits of performance - high growth and lean meat yield. 

                                               

 

The top rams of each year are offered at the Annual Detpa Grove Stud Sale

A Stud Ram 12 months sold for $20,000 at the Detpa Grove October auction 2003. Again in 2004 four elite sires were offered and averaged $4000.
