The Burwood White Suffolk Flock, owned by Ian & Julie Pfeiffer, was founded in 1987. Burwood exhibits rams at the Adelaide Royal Show annually, and has won many ribbons over the years. While performance in the show ring has been acknowledged, Burwood’s main focus is to deliver genetics that can capitalise on some of the main profit drivers in today’s industry. Burwood have introduced high Lambplan ranking rams into its breeding programs through artificial insemination and embryo transfer programs. Traits like quick growth and high muscle deliver to producers lamb carcases that leave the farm earlier at heavier weights.

Ian is the current Chairperson for the South Australian Sheep Advisory Group (SASAG). SASAG administers the Sheep Industry Fund, to which all SA sheep producers contribute through the sheep levy, as well as providing advice to the Minister.The latest news
